Thoughts on baby sitters
It’s a fact, babysitting does not come cheap and unless you have a reliable family member/close relative willing to do it for love, babysitting charges can double the cost of a night out.
Chances are that if you have young children, you’ll have friends in exactly the same boat. Think about creating a babysitting circle, taking it in turns to leave your children with each other. This eliminates the need to pay cash as you will ‘pay’ when it is your turn to babysit others. Ensure that it is someone who you can trust implicitly and that you are able to provide a safe environment and instil confidence in your parenting skills when it is your turn to take the reins and all in the circle will benefit socially and financially.
